CFL Recycling Guidelines

Share

lk_cfl_recycleSmall amounts of mercury are an essential ingredient in most energy efficient light bulbs; therefore, all CFL light bulbs should be disposed properly in order to recycle mercury and prevent it from leaching into the environment.  Many Litetronics CFL light bulbs contain an average of only 1 milligram of mercury – 75% less than standard energy efficient bulbs. Look on the back of each Litetronics package to find a bulb with lower mercury content.
