Company Timeline

Litetronics International, Inc. began operating in 1970. It was then that Litetronics developed the Super Service incandescent light bulb, the first 20,000-hour incandescent lamp with a two-year warranty. Over the past 40 years, Litetronics has evolved into an award-winning lighting technology innovator, producing numerous long-lasting, highly efficient lighting products.

A few of our most notable milestones:

1970

Litetronics International, Inc. is founded

1976

Litetronics introduces the Super Service 20,000-hour incandescent lamp

1986

Litepar halogen lamps are added to the Litetronics product mix

1989

The first and only 5,000-hour, 120-volt halogen lamp, Xtra-Life, is engineered

1989

Litetronics adds Super Arc high intensity discharge lamps into its product mix

1995

Litetronics introduces the first spiral-shaped compact fluorescent lamp to the U.S.

2000

Litetronics introduces its first Energy Star qualified CFLs

2003

Micro-Brite cold cathode fluorescent lamps roll off Litetronics manufacturing lines

2006

The company acquires Harmony Lighting, Inc.

2006

The Spiral-Lite 30-watt CFL is the first CFL Energy Star qualified with a 15,000-hour life

2006

Neolite, the world’s first CFL with only one milligram of mercury, is introduced

2007

The Earthmate consumer brand of products is established to bring to market the most environmentally friendly lighting solutions in the world

2007

Litetronics develops the first Energy Star qualified 50/100/150-watt 3-Way CFL replacement with the shortest size in the industry

2009

Litetronics engineers the 15-watt dimmable Micro-Brite cold cathode lamp, the highest wattage dimmable cold cathode lamp to date

2009

Earthmate partners with Waste Management to create the CFL Recycling Kit, allowing consumers to safely and easily store and recycle used CFLs in the convenience of their home
