au-op_ansi The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) serves as the voice of the U.S. standards and conformity assessment system to assure the safety and health of consumers and the protection of the environment. The Institute oversees the creation, promulgation and use of thousands of norms and guidelines that directly impact businesses in nearly every sector. ANSI is also actively engaged in accrediting programs that assess conformance to standards – including globally-recognized cross-sector programs such as the ISO 9000 (quality) and ISO 14000 (environmental) management systems.
au-op_1 ENERGY STAR is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy that helps businesses and consumers save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices.
au-op_2 The Illuminating Engineering Society seeks to improve the lighted environment by bringing together those with lighting knowledge and by translating that knowledge into actions that benefit the public. The IES is dedicated to promoting the art and science of quality lighting to its members, allied professional organizations, and the public.

Among other organizational goals, NAILD seeks to increase the effectiveness and profitability of the specialized lighting distributor through educational programs and promote the need for and the benefit of good lighting.

NEMA promotes the competitiveness of the U.S. electrical product industry through the development of standards, advocacy in federal and state legislatures and executive agencies, and the collection and analysis of economic data.
au-op-nema NEMRA (National Electrical Manufacturers Representatives Association) is dedicated to working with manufacturers and their representatives to improve the manufacturer-representative sales model and deliver results in today’s rapidly changing business offering environment.  NEMRA combines the premier sales and marketing agencies in the electrical industry with the top manufacturers — creating some very powerful connections.
